I switched to Height after the HUNT here and after trying many other apps I am still making progress with Height. The secret sauce for me is the unlimited number of LISTS you can have and the ease of cross listing Tasks on multiple LISTS. That and the ability to create custom filtered views which can be invoked on any LIST.
Height is the best task management application for teams. My favorite feature is the embedded chat per task which keeps all the conversation where you're doing work.
We've been using Height ourselves (to build Height, heh 😁) for the past couple years, so super excited to launch open access today!
We've also had the most wonderful beta testers along for the ride, so wanted to take a moment to say a huge thanks to our community too.
We moved to Height a few months back and really, really love the product!
It is super flexible while not being cluttered. Their smart views that let you see what you want across multiple lists with filters is a game changer! 👌
Amazing keyboard shortcuts + command center let's you drive everything with your keyboard if you so wish, like I do.
Bonus point: the team is highly responsive when we've got questions!
👏
Hey Product Hunt!
I'm super excited today to share with you what we've been up to for the last 2 years.
Height is a new kind of project management tool, designed for the new generation of makers. We made Height easy-to-use, while also flexible to accommodate different team (eng, design, product, marketing, and more or less any team possible).
We chose the spreadsheet as the default paradigm as it's powerful and is well understood, but more importantly, working amazingly with subtasks, different custom attributes, keyboard shortcuts, and more. We also added Kanban and Calendar as different visualizations.
We've had a long private beta to do user-research, polish the product, and work with some special users like Clubhouse, Mighty, Fivetran, Runway, Transcend, and more. But we're now ready to open it to all, and everybody is now allowed to sign up directly from our website :)
We use Height every day internally (of course :)), and it's been interesting to see how our usage has changed over time as we grew the team. I can't wait to see how our users and us will use it next.
Please check out our website, especially the product page that details many important features of Height.
Congratulations on the launch! Height is the best productivity tool I’ve ever used. The number of thoughtful iterations and product improvements you have delivered in the past 2 years is incredible, a true masterclass in product design. ✨
No matter what you use today, you should try it out! https://height.app
I’ve used height every day for the last couple years as a paying customer at Castro.fm and Transcend.io - it’s wonderful and I’ve come to rely on it. Don’t hesitate to give it a go.
Congrats on the launch! I'm excited to try this out. Looks like I may have to dust off the project management comparison matrix I created a few years ago.
We've been using Height for quite a while and absolutely love it! We were using Jira for a time after trying out many of the modern project management tools out there and having them all fall short. Eventually we made another pass at the market and stumbled across Height and got early access. And the game was changed! It's been the perfect blend of simple and powerful for managing our sprints and other work across the organization. Well done, Height team, well done!
More detailed things can be written.
My first look:
Idea, craft, taskade etc. Such attempts carry serious risks unless there is a plus from such practices.
Yes, nice job.
In this sense, I congratulate you.
I have been using note and time applications for years.
I am currently using 6 different note apps at the same time. (To consciously master them all)
I saw.
Newly emerging products in this sector should make strategic moves by considering very, very different positions. Otherwise, it carries serious risks.
Good luck.
Our entire company uses Height to keep track of all tasks & prioritize roadmaps (for engineering and on the non-technical side too). Big fan. Congrats, Height team!
Been using Height for our startup, it's brilliant. The thing is - Slack sucks: can't find anything, get constantly distracted with off-thread chats. Height is great because it helps us keep conversations on task.
Congrats to @michaelvillar and team for launching officially!
