Hey Hunters π
It's Ayoub here, I created this app from idea to production in less than half a day using ChatGPT, and SwiftShip boilerplate.
Here is the full process behind this app.
π‘ Ideation:
When needed I'm always checking word pronunciation in Google Translate, so I've mainly a personal need for a minimal, and simple app that helps check accent/articulation in one click.
π Market Research:
Starting from a personal need, I've done a quick market research then I decided to build an app MVP that pronounces words and helps in checking articulations in multiple languages accents.
π¨βπ» Development:
I used my swiftship boilerplate to get analytics, iAP monetization, notifications, and other common features in the app ready-made.
I used chatGPT to generate the core functions/features of the app with a main prompt then I asked it for a few adaptations till I got a good MVP.
π¨ Design/UI:
- I found a good dribbble design that fits my simplicity/minimalism need, then created a view based on it and edited it to fit the requirements of the app.
β Metadata & Distribution:
- I got the app keywords and ASO stuff from Astro and AppFollow.
- Created the screenshots with AppScreens
- Generated the app description with chatGPT
- The app was reviewed and published by Apple in less than 24 hours.
I hope the app will be helpful for some people.
Would love to know your thoughts and feedback π
Ayoub.
The idea for this app is great! My girlfriend just tried it out (she is an actress and this sort of thing would be super helpful for her when sheβs preparing to play roles that have different accents) but the voices are (obviously) pretty robotic and the US accent didnβt sound much like a real American accent.
Hopefully the AI will improve to make the voices sound more natural because she was ready to give you all her money lol
@meka_seymour Thank you Meka for your comment, glad to hear that it may provide some help, I hope we can make it sound more human in the upcoming versions.
Congratulations Ayoub ! Google is the engine for the pronunciation of words, right ?
Congratulations on the quick shipping. Putting your own products to great use!
