👋 Hello Product Hunt! I'm Allyn, my co-founder @pianka and I are very excited to share GridLite with the PH community! Here's how it works: 1. Sign up and link your electric utility account. 2. Enroll in bill splitting and invite your roommates to join. 3. When a new bill is posted, GridLite automatically charges each roommate their share and pays your utility directly. No need to send a monthly Venmo request to each roommate. With GridLite everyone has equal visibility and responsibility when it comes to utility bills. Bill splitting is free for up to 3 roommates, and $0.99 per roommate/month for 4+ roommates. 5% of profits going towards groups focusing on removing CO2 from the atmosphere. Some additional use cases: 🏠 Manage short-term rental properties? You can invite your tenants to be the payment members on the account, allowing them to have visibility and make payments, all the while allowing you to see the status of the payments. 📊 Running a business from home? @allynsweet @frank_denbow Hi Frank, thanks for the in-depth thoughts and feedback on our website's presentation. We both appreciate hearing your perspective on a new user visiting the website and what information you'd expect to find there. We'll look into adding a section on what would motivate a user to try GridLite, how using the service would provide convenience in bill payment and peace of mind regarding collecting money from the roommates or tenants. Additionally, we hear your feedback about the business-related calculator or planner feature and are looking into solutions for this. Thanks again for your help and feedback!
