Hello, Product Hunt community! It’s been a while since we were last hunted. During those two years we have been studying the obstacles that keep our core audience of distributed product developers and their teams from achieving success. While building RealtimeBoard 3.0, we aimed to solve problems associated with distributed work in order to let anyone improve their teamwork experience and collaborate despite common roadblocks. Here’s what’s new and the collaboration problems the new RealtimeBoard 3.0 solves: Collaborate beyond roles as one team - While working on a single board, each user can customize (grow or cut) their toolset according to their productivity and Jobs To Be Done. Collaborate beyond tools - Growing add-ons' library helps create an infinite workflow of your favorite tools (Sketch, Jira, Slack, Google Drive, etc). - Mobile apps are finally here, plus an additional mode for big touchscreens and a Surface Hub app. Collaborate beyond fixed formats - Simple transformation of objects on the canvas: turn a sticker into a Jira issue, or text into a sticker right on the canvas. - An extended list of formats that you can upload to the board: from editable documents to Invision prototypes. Collaborate beyond a complicated user experience - New cleaner interface design. - Interactive guide full of useful information for a smoother experience. - New pre-made templates to help you start faster. Collaborate beyond locations and time zones - Since updates save in real time, the team can choose to update the board in real time or asynchronously. We are thrilled to introduce new RealtimeBoard to the world and especially to the Product Hunt community. We appreciate any feedback, thoughts and user stories to get a better understanding of the needs of distributed teams. Let us know what you think of the product and its idea below!

@annaboyarkina Awesome tool. There is a clear distinction in my life: before RealtimeBoard and after. Have you appeared in any podcasts?* I would love to hear the origin story, behind-the-scenes, how you apply Jobs To Be Done, and how you prioritize and decide. I am especially curious about what made you guys integrate with (such an atrocity as) CA Agile Central. * - if not, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Anna Boyarkina
@ricotrevisan Rico! This feedback is one of the 'whys' that motivates us to keep moving forward. We've appeared in the UI Breakfast podcast, but can consider any other offers. You can always reach out to us at marketing@realtimeboard.com. And by the way, take a peek at our special project where you can either get the idea behind RealtimeBoard or follow the link to one of 3 articles: strategic vision by our CEO, behind-the-scenes or use cases description from the Product team. https://realtimeboard.com/reshap...

@annaboyarkina RealtimeBoard is the awesome tool! All our products starts from project in it. It helps us to ideate, prototype and connect designers, managers and developers for better communication. Keep moving forward.

Incredible product — have been using it for a while, and it works extremely well. Crazy how something like this didn't exist before.
Anna Boyarkina
@juanbuis Thank you for the kind words!

After using it for a couple of minutes, I can say this app is pretty good. I used it on my Android and one suggestion I would like is having autocorrect everywhere. I was making spelling mistakes on the sticky notes and it was annoying correcting them.
Anna Boyarkina
@erickbarron86 Thanks for bearing with us! There could be a temporary solution I could suggest for using RealtimeBoard in browser (on computer) - Spell-checking extensions for browser. By the way, have you tried one of the most favourite features in our mobile app - sticker recognition? https://help.realtimeboard.com/s...
Rico Trevisan

For me, Realtime Board has beautifully united:

+ loose sticky notes

+ 3M's sticky notes scanning app

+ project management tools (Asana, Trello)

+ diagram tools (draw.io, Visio)

+ clipboard tools (Evernote, Google Keep)

Works wonderfully on a touch-screen Chromebook.

Pros:

+ It works like I work: backlog, notes. diagrams altogether

+ take pic of stickies in real life, become electronic ones

+ Constant updates

Cons:

- doesn't do laundry.

Great product! When is the native iPad app expected (not the scaled iPhone App!)? And offline mode is a must.
Anna Boyarkina
@vinayrajagopal Hi Vinay! iPad app is expected this quarter

I'm not a designer, but I use RTB a lot to create simple sketches for some of my ideas on our products with comprehensive text descriptions. One image worths of thousand words! My sketches helps our designers and developers to quickly understand what I'm talking about and how my ideas connect to other products (thanks to unlimited workspace). I used to use Google Presentations for these purposes before, but RTB just stolen my heart! Good luck to the RTB team! Great product deserves fast organic growth! :)

Pros:

Easy to use and very intuitive interface, fast and stable, collaborative. Unlimited workspace with custom frames is just awesome! :)

Cons:

Not so many standard shapes.

Anna Boyarkina
Eugene, thank you very much for the review and detailed feedback! ❤️

Great Product, Awesome idea!

Pros:

Lovely Product

Clean and useful

Cons:

A video after logging in to start is missing.

This would help the beginners once they are up on the platform

Such a huuuuuuuge fan! I use RealtimeBoard for some many things - both in and out of work. From client projects to internal business planning to operation processes to personal planning, I can't stop raving about how much I love RTB to everyone I know. I'm also super impressed by the constant product iterations and feature updates that are constantly being released. Bravo, awesome work guys, I'm absolutely gushing but it's well deserved.
Anna Boyarkina
@thedesignnomad Hi, Melissa! Thanks for the love - we're happy to make you happy!

Very versatile, solid product, and consistent feature updates and improvements

Cons:

Lack of offline mode is annoying

Perfect realization of the next perfect collaborative tool. First there was Trello, then there was Slack. Now there is RealtimeBoard. This is the perfect SaaS tool for me as a remote UX designer. I love it. I think visually and when there's no whiteboard you lose context and I lose ability to communicate effectively with my peers and clients. RealtimeBoard does everything I need and constantly delights me with new features.

Pros:

Powerful and feature rich. Live collaboration. Design

Cons:

I want Figma integration. Also, VR would be awesome.

Anna Boyarkina
Thank you for your feedback! Honored to stay in the same lane with such powerful communication and collaboration solutions!
Trevor Stafford

We use this at work as a whiteboarding, product planning and strategic alignment tool. It's a good swiss-army-knife solution but leaves a number of things wanting. Simple image cropping would be awesome. Commenting and dialogue quickly gets confusing.

Pros:

Can hold a spectacular amount of information and still be fluid.

Cons:

Costly. Learning curve for non-tech is steep. Lack of version control / undo is HUGE. App is not great.

Anna Boyarkina
Hi, Trevor! Thanks for a review - it's really important for us to get to know how people are using RealtimeBoard in their work. Would love to chat and get more insights! By the way, could you share more info on the commenting issue?
Serhad iletir
I loved landing page
Anna Boyarkina
@serhat_iletir thanks! The idea of the page was to share a simple and visual story about visual collaborative space where teams can easily sync minds
Kirsty Williams
@serhat_iletir @annaboyarkina I disagree. I don't know if the landing page is any different now than it was 9 months ago but there's so much going on it's impossible to process any of the information. It's far too cluttered and ironically it could do with some added whitespace.
Andrii Zavalniuk

keep it up! wonderful product!

Pros:

functionality. no images' compression as in draw.io.

Cons:

no online backup. no enough features for mockuping)) - yeah, we use it for creating mockups too.)

Anna Boyarkina
Hi, Andrii. Thank you for your support and feedback. Improving of the mockup features is not in our immediate plans but we hope we'll be able to implement it someday in the future.
Nicole Huppert

I mostly use the tool for affinity mapping and project planning now, but I used to do sketching and wireframing with remote team members. I wish I still had the same work process so I could use the new chat features and the integrations more.

Pros:

Stickies! All the tools and integrations. Always working on improvements.

Cons:

Sometimes buggy when loading. Limit on collaborators

Anna Boyarkina
Hi, Nicole! Thanks for the love. Hope one day you'll have a big remote collaboration project so that you can try our new features like voting, Slack integration or countdown timer. They are turning teamwork into the dreamwork.
Dennis Kampien
It has the potential to be one of the best visualization and collaboration tools. But I'm not touching it until they improve their mind map features and add at least collapsing mind map nodes.
Nicolò Pittoni

really like the tutorials and the way they're written is ace

Pros:

easy to understand

Cons:

none

Natalia Stanisławska

Recommend

Pros:

Effective instrument for projecting

Cons:

Menu is simple and easy to use, there are many opportunities in working with images and web.

Luis Ángel Lozano

I have been using this tool for about a year and I find it reliable and user-friendly.

Pros:

Everything. I love how it combines many different tools in one board. They are constantly adding features.

Cons:

It does not have VoIP included.

Sebastien Bonneval
Is it available on the French App Store? I can't find it?
Yegor Korobeynikov
@sebastien_bonneval you don't need to go to App Store — it works well from a browser, just go https://realtimeboard.com
Shiv
The brutal design is amazing 💯
