Hire is a recruiting app from Google that enables businesses using G Suite to recruit the best candidates faster. Hire helps users post jobs, identify and review candidates, as well as easily manage every step the interview process– using the familiar Google solutions such as Google Search, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Hangouts.

Interesting to see another big company enter the recruiting space. Facebook launched their jobs product a few months ago. 9to5 Google wrote more about Google's quiet launch this morning.

@rrhoover I've worked for Avature.net, a company dedicated solely to sell their CRM SaaS, with only focus on HR. They are well positioned on the market. They should be a little bit worried.

Poor onboarding. No instructions on sign up... for it is not available, and why auto-signin will not work for Google account! If not FAQs, a simple plain text would have helped hundreds of users.

@vingar or maybe it's not publicly launched yet?
Adithya Shreshti
@vingar ICYM my first comment - currently, it is still being tested among just few startups which are listed

has been hiring using Google Hire! Read

Crunchbase

to know more about it.

I do not really like the *Attach Resume* stuff, the keywords based skills matching process is too subjective and often overlooks contextually relevant applications. When I heard the news Google Hire, I was expecting a solution (not an out-of-the-box solution, merely a solution) to this age-old conventional resume-based-hiring bottleneck.... something @Zapier and @Crew have addressed to a an extent.

More information: https://about.crunchbase.com/new... seems a few select companies are testing this eg https://hire.withgoogle.com/publ... is an example of an employer page.

Hiring is such a HUGE revenue generator. Some companies are getting as 30% of a potential employees salary. Dope🚬

What the hell is this? Why do they offer no information unless you sign in/up? Terrible design

@metalhaze "The Google Hire login page has already gone live, but the service hasn't been officially announced, and it's not yet possible to actually log in." Hasn't yet been released to the public...

"Resistance is futile" or maybe "all your processes are belong to us" - somebody at Google is working on everything.
Sabri Helal
"Interviewer: Ok Google, should we hire this candidate?" "Google Home: No" "Candidate: Wait.. wtf?!"
Beth Hudson
Does anybody have any opinions yet now that it officially launched? I'm not sure I'd like it to solely just integrate with the G suite, if that's the case. Thoughts?
Elijah Elkins
Definitely would love to get involved with this and check it out. I'm sure a number of our recruiting clients would be really interested in this.

Did I get this right ? Its a launch on Product Hunt but we can't get any idea on what does it do. Unless you sign up. I thought the whole purpose of this plateform was to avoid curiosity sign ups ?

Looks fake, why is the domain withgoogle.com ? 🤔
Florian Mari
@mprosenau It's not a fake, Google has the domain withgoogle.com and use it for multiple services like hashcode.withgoogle.com, or aiexperiments.withgoogle.com
Adithya Shreshti
@mprosenau Hey! if you haven't noticed it already - visiting withgoogle.com takes you to your respective country's @Google homepage!
Michael Rosenau
@adithya @florianmari - Gotcha! But seems strange that they would use it for a product launch, considering that many scammers use a similar and slightly different URLs to mirror big corp sites. Which was my point for pointing it out. For example. maps.google.com and googlemaps.com forward to google.com/maps All forwarding URLs, for past URL usage and for people just typing stuff in. So one would thing the URL would be google.com/hire ...Error: Not Found
Adithya Shreshti
@mprosenau @florianmari Yeah - but they mostly wanted the url to sound like Hire with Google 😉
Gabe O'Leary
@adithya @mprosenau @google just because visiting a domain takes you to another one means nothing...redirecting to a legit website is a known tactic used by phishers and scammers...
Prabhâkar Thota
How to signUp ?
Adam Harms
@prabhakar_thota you don't need to sign up, they already have all of your information.

Google has also been slowly rolling out a jobs api:
Product Pearson
This looks great. I actually hadn't seen this before. Does Google use this same technology for their own jobs board?
Matt Gibbs
How does something that none of us can actually login to or even use get over 800 hunts?
#1 Mobile Specialist

Looks like it's just not official launched. But when it's done, every thing is done.
