Hello, Product Hunt Family! New Year Greetings from Goodera. Wishing you all a year of prosperity, safe health, and goodness! ‘Powering the world of good’ is how we best describe ourselves and are driven by this motto for every effort we put into our work at Goodera. Fundamentally, Goodera believes that every human being has the ability to change someone’s life. At a time when the world was scrambling in the new virtual ecosphere, Goodera became the world’s largest platform for virtual volunteering experiences. We have, 🚀 Assisted over 50k non-profits in gaining access to volunteers virtually 🚀 Driven support to over 10 million beneficiaries, that include women, children who are disabled or hospitalized, children who are in need of digital learning resources and many more 🚀 Engaged over 200+ corporates and over 5 million employees with volunteering services virtually in a span of just two years! We realized that with the new normal of virtual workspaces, employee engagement and corporate social impact will also shift to the virtual space. While we have already succeeded in transcending volunteering into the virtual and hybrid model, we decided to create a tool that would enable every individual and team in the world to do good for somebody else. 🤔 Why? It became imperative and logical to bring this opportunity right into the hands of every employee and team in the world in the most convenient way possible. 🦾 What can you do with the Karma app? From taking a short quiz that makes one more deaf-aware to writing an uplifting message for a hospitalized kid, to sending thank you notes to front line healthcare workers, there are a variety of “micro” actions that we have curated with our nonprofit partners across 100+ countries. The host can choose from across focus areas such as mental health, racial equity, climate change, gender equity, amongst others. The entire 10-min action consists of 3 simple steps: ☑️ Step 1 (2 minutes) – Watch a video to understand the nonprofit and the cause ☑️ Step 2 (5 minutes) – Complete a simple action to support the cause (take a quiz, write a message, take a pledge, sign a petition, etc.) ☑️Step 3 (3 minutes) – Reflect with your team on the significance of this issue or share a personal story Here’s how it works: ✅ Step 1 - Install the app using this link - https://marketplace.zoom.us/apps... ✅ Step 2 - Launch Zoom on your phone/computer ✅ Step 3 - Start a Zoom meeting and then launch the Karma app ✅ Step 4 - Be the change you wish to see in the world :) We’d really appreciate your feedback, it would help us grow and improve. Me and the rest of Goodera are excited to share this with you and hope that you join us in doing good for those in need. 😊

After having felt a bit isolated because of remote working during the pandemic, this would be a good tool to use to boost spirits and help with making people feel more connected during times when it's difficult.

Is there an incentive system? PS: never thought virtual volunteering could be a thing, this looks real nice ~
Vipul Agarwal
Hey Shivam! Thank you much for checking our app out. We don't currently have an incentive system for our users. However, there's something brewing in Goodera's kitchen that might see the light of day later this year. We envision doing good for society as something that can and should be bragged about. So we are evaluating approaches that would tokenize the act of doing good.

Amazing! Reducing the barriers that may stop organizations from taking on Volunteerism and CSR is more important than ever. It's great to see how companies can not have a focus on giving back, but can also invite their teams into the conversation to collaborate and participate.
Radhika Dhand
@tim_anson Absolutely, Tim! More than ever, there is a conscious need to give back to society. The Karma app allows you to collaborate with your team while leveraging existing team meeting channels.
