Make Google Trends 100x more powerful: find trends in any niche, see actual search volume, get trend alerts, and more. Used by the world’s top companies – from the NYTimes to Amazon.
Hello! 👋
Almost exactly a year ago, we launched our V1 Google Trends Chrome Extension here on PH and were welcomed with great feedback and an incredible group of users and customers. We’ve since grown to almost 40,000 users and are lucky enough to have paying customers in such diverse spaces – from leading publications like the New York Times to top companies like Amazon and Reddit.
So, after a year of heads-down building, we’re super excited to share Google Trends Supercharged 2! – we’ve added new core features, like Discover, which lets you find trends in any niche.
We’ve loved Google Trends since forever but have always been bummed that it falls short. We’ve spent the last 4 years investing a ton into our tech and are pumped to share what we think is a pretty unique product.
Super eager for feedback on how we can improve so please do share!
@dzianis_yatsenka Our Discover feature, which provides access to our database of trending topics, lets you search for ANY industry you're interested in. We do offer some pre-determined categories (including education) to give users some ideas for the types of categories they can search for on Glimpse.
Definitely seeing a lot of education trends these days!
@seanlewin Yes, absolutely. Within our Discover feature, which shows the top trending keywords in any industry, we offer a brand filter. So you can filter for only branded keywords that are growing the fastest and then target those businesses. We similarly have lots of VCs who use the tool to source deals - recently we actually had a top-tier VC lead their largest round ever in a deal they identified using Glimpse.
Noah and team have done amazing work making trends more approachable to all. When it comes to startup, knowing where things are headed in the various spaces you're working in or thinking of entering is crucial and Glimpse is there to make sure you're always one step ahead of the curve. Kudos y'all, kudos!
I don't see an actual pricing page on your site. But I doubt I'd use it enough to justify a paid plan right now. Do you have a forever free basic plan?
Love the question, @aaron_cohn! One of my favorite pro-tips is to set up tracking/alerts from the start. It takes a bit of an investment upfront but then you can forget about it and you’ll get email notifications when any of the trends you’re tracking starts to take off so you’ll be in the know before anyone else.
We had a customer who used this feature to get PR for one of their clients that drove over 100K site visits. The client - a sneaker brand - got alerted to a huge spike in search demand for white vans. They realized this was tied to the popularity of Squid Game where the characters wear white vans, so they pushed a comment to press about how Squid Game was driving a huge increase in demand for white vans and it went viral.
Congrats Noah on your launch of such a great tool!
I just tried it and found it incredibly helpful for researching and studying the market. It bridges trends and search data. It would be even better if you could provide comparison data for multiple searches. Overall, it seems like a game changer for finding trends in any niche.
Keep up the good works!
