Write engineering-ready tickets with ease. Ticket Studio’s AI understands your codebase and gathers requirements to create well-scoped tickets within minutes. Avoid missed details, errors in scope, and endless developer back-and-forth!
👋 Hi Product Hunt, I’m Hamza from GitStart.
GitStart is a ticket-to-PR platform that helps engineering teams ship more of their roadmap without hiring in-house. We’re thrilled to introduce our AI Ticket Studio — a new way to write and iterate on tickets for your engineering team.
✨ Turn fuzzy ideas into beautifully scoped tickets within minutes ✨🪄 Key benefits:
- Clear, context-rich tickets with the right technical details and scope that engineers love
- Fast and stress-free ticket writing
- More time writing code, less time spent back-and-forth clarifying requirements
⚡Here’s how it works:⚙️ Ticket Studio learns from your codebase: it indexes your codebase to ask the right clarifying questions.
💬 Create & Edit Tickets by AI Chat: Eliminate the ‘fear of the blank page’ - our AI interacts with you to gather requirements, transforming vague ideas into actionable tickets.
🔁 Integration with Jira/Linear: Seamless ticket management and synchronization for a cohesive workflow!
✍️ Request Feedback on Existing Tickets: Import your ticket backlog, and let our AI play detective 🕵️ zooming in and providing feedback on missing info and overlooked edge cases.
⚒️ Handoff to engineering: Assign to your engineering team…or to ◯˚GitStart, and get back a PR
We first built this to solve a pain we’re experiencing in our business: clients provided incomplete tickets, and developers lost time spent clarifying instead of writing code. With people in different time zones, delays piled up and delivery slowed down to a crawl. We later realized many product and engineering teams had the same problem, so we’re sharing this product to help anyone write better tickets and ship faster 🔥

GitStart's AI Ticket Studio sounds like a lifesaver for engineering teams. I especially appreciate the integration with Jira and Linear, making workflow seamless. Would love to hear about any unique edge-case handling features! Congrats on the launch!
Worth mentioning this new product incorporates 6 months of user feedback on an MVP version of it!
We completely revamped the infrastructure based on it faster and to make questions smarter 🤓
Congrats on launching! 🚀 Who is the primary user for this? Business people that has limited tech background and run an offshore team, or CTOs with internal teams? or Product leads with some tech insight that run hybrid teams? Or someone else? And is the primary use case for managing backlogs or figuring out scope to add new features?
@sentry_co thanks for the support! Our primary users are engineering managers/CTOs and product managers, but we've also seen marketing teams use it, with tickets getting picked up by engineering much faster because for the first time they were well scoped.
@richardguerre Scoping is definitely an art, and something even very experienced devs can get wrong. So even having a suggestion on scope could be very helpful. Ill definitly give it a spin!
@sentry_co Is this tool agentic? For example, can my product manager who is augmented intelligence write a prompt and communicate directly with your agent as an orchestrator? I’m assuming that the context that would be passed in this communication would shape the results of the querying and tickets similar to what we get with our web crawlers
@kostyabolsh We are already seeing marketing, sales and engineering use GitStart over time. We started building it for engineers, buy engineers but soon realize that work creation happens outside of engineering and they are as much of stake holders in figuring out what to build!
Great launch! Would love to see a feature for tracking ticket completion and efficiency metrics. Does the AI support version control systems other than Git?
This is a pretty cool way to innovate the contracting world. This looks like a much better way to stream line the process to outsource work to folks who can benefit from them. I also like it's credit based, which means you pay what you ship but not time. The feature to limit what's cloned is quite an interesting way to share securely.
Congrats @sudohamza and team for launching this platform!
Thank you @pavla_bobosikova !! We have spent countless hours watching PMs and Engineers go back and forth, and looking forward to substantially reducing that
The examples in the screenshots are pretty bad. I mean, they are better than typical tickets written by inexperienced people, but they sure are not engineering-ready.
@kitemaker Soon!! We have a new ticket connector registry coming up that makes it super easy to integrate into new ticketing systems
We are huge fans of Kitemaker internally, so wont be long before an integration lands :D
Congrats on the launch! Seems like an exciting product but I don't quite get it. Seems like i'd be the one who isn't exactly the user, but great product anyways
@jack_michalak Yes, anyone creating tickets can benefit from this. We simplify the process by extracting fuzzy thoughts and asking context-specific questions to generate tickets. Project managers with limited technical skills and marketing teams particularly find this tool useful :)
Sounds like a real game-changer for engineering teams. If it can write well-scoped tickets in minutes is going to save so much time... Also I find writing tickets very tedious
this sounds amazing!
question! this tool actually requires access to the code? Some companies wouldn't have issues related to trust? there might be a fear of leaks by allowing a third party read access to the code.
how could you provide trust to future clients?
@dreamseeker5 We have an internal security tool called GitSlice. This tool allows us to load only the relevant part of the codebase, which you can choose, into the context window, unlike traditional RAG methods that perform poorly.
Great Launch, Upvoted!
I'm using fine.dev - how is this different from Fine?
Fine doesn't stop at the Technical specification - they continue and exectute the task for me.
@kacy_boone1 We had marketing teams use it, and their tickets were getting picked up by engineering (or GitStart) much faster because for the first time they were well scoped.
Hello @kacy_boone1 - on top of the AI Ticket Studio you can also use GitStart to turn them into code. We've seen growth marketing teams from companies like Sourcegraph use GitStart for anything from new landing pages to onboarding flows and even AB tests. Happy to share more if you're interested!
shut up and take my money! (c) Futurama
No, seriously, I've been using OpenAI to fulfil the same task, but that's just like walking on crutches. Glad to see a well-honed AI powered product on the topic!
Congrats on launching! 🚀
