StartUp is my favorite "new" (I use quotes because it came out almost a year ago now) podcast series. Love how transparent @mlieber and @alexlumberg are.
Thought it was interesting that the investors had no problem with it, but all that was cited were relationships where the couples were equal. Being the founder/CEO is a bit different. What if the company had to layoff people and his wife was included? That'd be a fun conversation. So while I think it will probably be fine, the power dynamic raises more concerns than just a married couple working together in the same company.
@eric3000 If that happens, it would make for an interesting storyline and exploration, no? If there's one thing @alexlumberg has shown, he's willing to be transparent and show himself as occasionally bumbling as a fledgling business owner for the sake of the show.
Gimlet has the absolute best ad quality. In all of media, not just in podcast land. Absolutely love it. Production, storytelling, editing - all 10/10. Keep it up, @abexlumberg and @mlieber !!
@immatthamlin That's exactly what happened to me! Before StartUp, I had no idea about this whole podcast universe. Btw. please bring Mystery Show back!
