Hello Product Hunters! 👋 Have you ever forgotten to text a friend on their birthday? If not, you’re the amazing friend we all aspire to be. But if you have, welcome to the club! 🫠 Life is busy and it’s hard to remember every single detail… I used to use Facebook to remember birthdays, but now I get notifications like “14 of your friends have birthdays today.” 13 of which I haven’t spoken a word to since high school. We were searching for an easier solution but couldn’t find anything great, so we decided to build a tool ourselves. On Giftopedia you can set reminders for each of your closest friends and family members and get text alerts on their birthday! You can even set to receive texts 10 or 30 days in advance, in case you want extra time to look for a gift. Here is how our free tool works: 👉 Step 1: Sign up for Giftopedia and add your phone number. 👉 Step 2: Add a birthday reminder for each person. 👉 Step 3: We’ll text you a reminder about each birthday so you never forget again. There are some pretty astonishing products on here. Major projects that took many smart people months to build. Yea…this isn’t necessarily one of those. This is an extremely simple tool (by design) and we feel a lot of people could benefit from it. Please give it a try and let us know your feedback! @kyle_vock That privacy policy...yikes. I know you need to make this financially viable, but the "Use of your Personal Data" section is effectively, "we'll use your personal data for anything and everything."

Affiliates include Our parent company and any other subsidiaries, joint venture partners or other companies that We control or that are under common control with Us. With business partners: We may share Your information with Our business partners to offer You certain products, services or promotions. With other users: when You share personal information or otherwise interact in the public areas with other users, such information may be viewed by all users and may be publicly distributed outside. With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent.

@dfoster Totally get where you're coming from. I assure you there is nothing malice from our end. Hard to get custom privacy terms when bootstrapped, but we'll work to update our terms ASAP. Thanks again for the feedback!

@dfoster Hey Danny, thanks for your feedback on this. I am not entirely sure what you’re alluding to, but if it’s that we’re selling data, I assure you we’re not. They are just standard privacy terms from an online provider. We do have plans to get terms closer to our product.
