Write anywhere of the gmail compose box "::gif me thegifyouneed" and the gif will appear as soon as you stop writing. I am the author of the extension and I would love read what you thoughts about the idea of using command lines in textareas across the web?
Ryan Cunningham
@zehf Really cool project! I'm constantly wanting to reference, link to, or embed things in context across the web. Would love this not just for Giphy but for my GitHub and my Google Drive and Medium and pretty much everything. Well played.

My e-mails just got better, thanks =)

This is so cool! @rrhoover how does one embed GIFs into comments without gifLine?
Ryan Hoover
@joshuaoxj simply link directly to an image (png, jpg, or gif). We'll be adding a WYSWYG editor eventually but it's not as high of a priority. In the meantime, this is sort of an easter egg. 😃

@rrhoover Great to know. Been experimenting but it doesn't seem to work all the time. Haha. Thanks for the info :)

As a huge fan of the giphy Slack integration this is great! Top work Zeh :)

@fredrivett Yeah slack is great. I imagine more and more features we can do with command lines in textbox areas.
