Why Do You Upvote on Product Hunt?
Here are my 3 reasons:
1) I know the maker and want to support the launch 🚀🚀
2) I'm already using the product and I love it 😍
3) It's just a cool product 😎

@mariadpdc how do you do that with Product Hunt? Are you reaching on on the product pages or some other way?
@maxwellcdavis I have notifications from my posts. Using the different tabs, community, tools, jobs.

Point 1 is unambiguously - Yes! And I basically go in every day to see the first 5 products who are on top, read the idea, look at the site and if I'm interested - vote.
1. I know how hard it is to make a startup and get supported.
2. Sometimes I'm already using the product.
3. I love to discover new products.
Sometimes I upvote because the founder reached out to me on TW — but only if I like the product. DM will make me check it out but the actual vote depends on the product itself
@anab yeah same actually - I get quite a few a week now that DM me. As with you I only upvote if I like it
