I also observe the same thing too! Recently I posted a question about the proportion of people working on their startup full-time vs as a side hustle (which I learn now that you also asked a few months ago). I barely had any replies, whereas other lightweight chats were super popular.

Avoid comparing different discussions in a social network: the only one kind of comparation is in your own questions and who is voting them. Sometimes is easy to put a not academic plot, not philosophical, not empirical..., that is because they are putting propaganda. If I do not like that, I avoid to participate there, and it is not disturbing.

Because everyone wants to be "active" in the community but noy everyone has something valuable to share 🤷‍♀️
