Which marketing platform do you find most effective?

5
Hey everyone—curious to hear your thoughts. For early-stage startups looking to promote their product/service, which platform do you think works best: Instagram, X, Reddit, or Bluesky? Are there specific reasons like audience, cost, or engagement that make one better? Open to opinions or experiences!

This is one area where, for better or worse, X is still superior to Bluesky. I have found that Bluesky is fairy limited in terms of business and tech conversation, though perhaps that's starting to change.

@Twitter and @Reddit are the best for finding customers. Twitter makes it so easy to find and jump into threads with potential customers. Reddit is harder as the culture required you to add more value but it's certainly the most effective IMO. We're also throwing our hat in the ring here at Product Hunt :-) These forums are about to grow a lot and help all of us find tools, customers, etc.

@twitter @reddit @steveb Your insight is really constructive! I’ve tried a bit of subtle promotion on Reddit as well, but I found that some communities have rules that are too strict, making it pretty tough to do any marketing. Do you have any particular strategies or tips for working around that, or do you think running Reddit ads might be the way to go? Also, Product Hunt has definitely brought me a good number of users and followers—I really like the platform!
