Which industries do you think are ripe for disruption with new technology?
Hello Product Hunt, Clayton here. As technology continues to exponentially increase what industries do you think are going to drastically change? We’re already seeing the effects of AI in the entertainment, medical, logistics, and other major industries. What are some industries that haven’t jumped on board yet that are due for a change? These could be a great place to launch a product.
We’re starting to see customer support systems be improved with AI, but there is still a lot of room for improvement here. I think in a few years it will be entirely automated. Possibly in a lot of restaurants too - look at the changes chili’s is making in their kitchens. I hope this isn’t the case but things are heading in that direction.

GREAT QUESTION! I feel the wedding industry is out of control with TheKnot and WeddingWire owned by the same company and being in control of vendor visibility. It is a very expensive listing service and quality of leads are not that great. I own a photo booth business and it is very hard to gain clients because of this. I listed with them for one year and had to haggle with them to break the contract and not have to pay for another year. I feel there can be better listing services that help small business owners get their name out there without having the prices so high.
Yelp is also guilty of this. They want to charge a minimum of $100 a month just to be visible.
I understand that digital products can't be free.. some money has to be generated. But there is a greed around these companies too. It doesn't feel like the ROI is matching up well.

@marciej This is brilliant and someone could absolutely change the game entering this space. I used to film a lot of weddings so I know your pain - it is very much becoming a pay to play industry. People wonder why everything associated with weddings is becoming so expensive - it all trickles down.
Are you finding a lot of leads on socials? I know ever since instagram rolled out the collaborative posts a lot of my peers have been killing it doing this. A friend of mine stopped upcharging for a short social edit and instead just did one for everyone and shared it as a collaborative post. She gets so many more contacts after starting this and the clients love the surprise edit.

@claytonwalker thank you! It's nice to know you have insights on this. The wedding industry is a billion dollar industry for sure! The average bride/groom/family spends $20K for their wedding and that is a low budget. High budget is $50-80K
Listing services in general can be more transparent and do better on seo and pricing. :-)
