What thinking techniques do you use to come up with new ideas?
I'm looking for new and creative ways to solve problems, and I'm curious what other people do to get new ideas. I've tried this technique https://ralphammer.com/the-creat... with varying degrees of success.

I do spend some time off work thinking about nothing and just enjoying my company. When the mind becomes still, and nothing is expected an idea comes up. Just like that.
I see the opinions of others regarding the site and applications and understand the shortcomings
