Killing a product line that had been a substantially part of the development focus of the company. We had to rationalise resources and the investment still required to go to market was still substantial. My biggest learning in that case is to think GTM from day one and ensuring that you can see a return on investment as fast as possible
Taking advantage of the time difference, I updated the features in advance so that my app can synchronize with my PC and update new features simultaneously. This was a challenge, but fortunately we succeeded.
The most challenging product decision I've ever had to make was whether to launch a new feature that required significant development resources. After much deliberation and analysis, I ultimately decided to go ahead with it, despite the potential risks and challenges.
From this experience, I learned the importance of thorough research and gathering feedback from users before making any major product decisions. It's crucial to understand the market demand and ensure that the new feature aligns with the overall product vision and goals.
As I prepare to launch my own product soon, I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights you may have. Thank you so much in advance!
To build our own platform rather than rely on someone else’s. It took time but gives us full control on customer experience and allows us to deliver something very different to competitors. Once we made the decision it was quite easy - I think tech has come a long way in the last 10 years. Learnings were that taking advantage of modern tech can give you competitive advantage if your willing to take the risk.
