For me, the future of mobile applications appears to be bleak. In this age of diminishing attention spans, applications compete with one another to hold their users' time hostage. We have apps like YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, which have the largest market share.
This makes it difficult for indie developers to make a living from app development, as well as for salaried individuals looking for a side hustle.
I could go on and on about this subject, but you get the idea. 🤷🏿♂️

I think apps are too sensitive in terms of security and their users' data, and more and more users are becoming concerned about that. Hence, the app creators have to be compliant, accurate, transparent, and secure.
