What's the best piece of advice you have received from a mentor/role model in the tech world?

The best advice I have received from my mentor is to: "learn from mistakes quickly." which means that when things don't go as planned, it's a chance to learn and do better next time. This advice has helped me become better at tech and problem-solving.
