Hey PH,
What is some advice you’ve gotten that’s stuck with you on your journey of launching a product? Something that’s resonated with me a friend told me awhile ago is:
“I have never met an “overnight success” business owner, but I have met several with “shiny object syndrome”
Motivation is fleeting. Consistent, small, compounding actions is the most common denominator I’ve seen in founders & owners.
- Be clear in your vision
- Break that down into monthly goals
- Create systems & processes (habits) that align with those goals
- Show up every day.
The person who consistently does a “little thing” every day will outperform the person who does “big things” sometimes.”
I’ve found this very motivating throughout this long process of building our product. It’s been a tough, but rewarding journey that has taught me so much. I think about this every day from the highs of getting our first beta users to the lows of delaying our launch a few months ago. Now that we’re preparing to launch later this week the excitement is at an all time high and I’m very grateful for having stuck with it.
What advice do you have to share that will motivate people to keep building no matter how tough it gets? Whether the product succeeds or not, it’s an incredible learning experience that not many people have the ambition to take on. You’ve got this!
