What new features would you like to see in ProductHunt in 2025?

13

For me:

  1. TikTok-like launch party / AMA livestream

  2. "Where Are They Now?" Tracker of products 3-6-12 months post-launch

  3. Feed of launch stories sharing successes, failures and tips like a substack community/feed

  4. Pre-launch AI scoring + domain-specific expert advisory

  5. Generative launch creatives for social media distribution

  6. "This vs. That" Showdowns head-to-head product debate & polls

  7. Dedicated boards for more content diversity: hardware, non-AI tools, pre-orders, alpha user invitations etc.

  8. Launch-in-public real-time analytics (visitor heatmaps, referrals, engagement - inspired by hunted.space)

  9. Different display views of daily product launches (inspired by PHDeck)

  10. More fun gamification in points system (interactive badges, referral, waitlist pre-launch)

  11. Better search filters (category, reviews, personalized recommendations)

  12. Founder matching hub for advisory and mentorship

@rajiv_ayyangar Curious to learn more about ProductHunt's future roadmap! :)

Some great ideas here! I love the "Where Are They Now?" tracker—it would be amazing to see how products evolve post-launch, especially those that gained traction on PH.

One thing I’d add: A "Makers' Hub" for real-time collaboration. A space where founders can get instant feedback on landing pages, pricing models, or growth strategies before launching. Almost like a "soft launch" zone with the PH community’s insights.

Curious—how do you think AI scoring for pre-launch would work? Would it analyze launch success probabilities based on past data, or would it provide actionable feedback? 🚀

I love how this presents a roadmap for PH’s future direction. Personally, I find options 2 and 6 the most compelling. If feature 2 is added, it will allow makers to invest more passion into their products while fostering continued engagement with hunters.

@kay_arkain those are my favourites too! would be fun to dig out old ideas from (2) and reinvent them in the future when the timing is ready :)

@kay_arkain Totally agree! A "Where Are They Now?" tracker would make PH feel more like a long-term ecosystem rather than just a launchpad. Seeing how products evolve post-launch could also help new makers learn from past successes and failures.

Curious—how would you envision feature 6 ("This vs. That" Showdowns)? Would it be a live debate format, or more of a structured comparison tool for similar products? I can see this being super useful for competitive spaces like AI tools or no-code platforms. 🚀

I cannot decide only about one, because there are many good ideas so I selected:

2. "Where Are They Now?"
3. Feed of launch stories

4. Pre-launch AI scoring + domain-specific expert advisory
8. Launch-in-public real-time analytics
12. Founder matching hub

@busmark_w_nika lol i think "Where Are They Now?" would be like a startup graveyard

Also, I just realized that the forum doesn’t have a search function. It would be great if we could search by forum titles and posts. I was trying to find forums related to marketing, but having to go through everything manually is quite inconvenient.

Improved search filters would make navigating the platform so much smoother.

@ameliadecker Absolutely! Right now, finding niche products or filtering by specific use cases can be tricky. Better search filters—especially by category, user reviews, and launch performance—would make discovery much more intuitive.

What kind of filters do you think would be most useful?

Love these ideas! A 'Where Are They Now?' tracker would be super useful, and better search filters are definitely needed.

Also, a way to track engagement on launches so founders don’t miss key feedback would be great.

By the way, we’re launching on Feb 17th! Would love your thoughts—just visit my page and click ‘Try Helix for FREE’! @fn7 Helix

Excellent list. #4 looks invaluable - really hope the PH team pick this up!
I also think that the time is right with a reddit style Answers product to search through forums easily. There's a lot of valuable posts and advice which can be deeply buried and unless you are actively looking for them or are lucky to see it (like this post!) you can miss out on incredible information.

#2, #3, #6, #8, #11 and #12 are all good ones!!
