What makes you signup for a beta program?
Have you ever signed up for the beta program of bootstrapped SaaS. What prompted you to sign up for the program? How was the experience? Did you get any payment / bonus / goodies?

Yes. Key was, it solved my problem.
Was free whilst in beta and then got a discount on subscription.
Solved the problem. Was fast to get started. Big discount. Seeing people I knew using it already.
Experiences were typically not very good at first. In some cases (a year later), they would have improved significantly.
