Trying to capture PH "demographics", I have been thinking about the hidden potential we carry, while we blast ahead into creating software products, which are sometimes very different than prior education.
@aris_nakos its a cool thing to have. But I wonder if it could be acheived by a mobile app that users are already familiar with. So people won't have to carry another device.
@zuhaib_ashfaq I agree. There's a huge barrier to *mainstream* adoption, given that the smartphone can act as the medium. There are people that love having multiple gadgets, but I don't think that's a reliable driver of profitability and product growth. Seems in the initial phase, you need buttons to be able to provide feedback if necessary to the app.
@yogi_rahul given that you work in ML, physics provides a great framework for logically breaking down problems technically. But tbh, it seems dimensional analysis, a high school skillset, is the most important skill in scaling software solutions.
@aris_nakos I think best skill is learning. If you have that, past does not matter. There have been historian who gave formula in the subject of chemistry. Similarly, there are people from non-tech background and working in the google giving software solutions. Hunger for learning can help in achieve impossible things too.
Aris, my academic background is in Computer Science, which laid a solid foundation for my journey into software development. It's fascinating to see how diverse educational paths converge in the tech world, each adding unique value to the products we create.
@markk0217 Absolutely Markk, that's what I am thinking. Ever since the web became mainstream, we have come about creative ways for augmenting the output of information services. Information is versatile, given that it could be audible, readable, and tactile.
Aris, my academic background is in Computer Science, which laid a solid foundation for my tech endeavors, but I'm continually amazed at how often I draw on principles from psychology and design in my work. It's intriguing how our diverse educational paths intersect in the tech we create.
@felix_f_tao Hi Felix, Chemical Engineer here. I think of design every day like yourself. It has to be intuitive or easy to remember for a perfect product. However design is a function of cultural and biological factors.
Aris, my academic background is in Computer Science, where I honed my skills in software development and algorithmic thinking. It's fascinating to see how often our tech careers diverge from our studies, blending diverse expertise into innovative creations.
@cen_xu I agree, our tech focus usually spreads past our original subject.
Makes you wonder about the value of the traditional degree programs vs shorter periods of education spread out throughout your life. Think EdX's microdegrees program or someone's being self-taught for a few years vs a pure degree. Seems what's missing from education is the instant application of talent to problems instead of past problems or theory.
@aris_nakos I hope so! 🤗 and you have a powerful mix too! This is interesting sphere!
Right now using mix of Zapier, Make, Airtable and Webflow, powerful set for launching solutions. Do you use some No code tools as well?
