Well, my first unofficial job was criminal work, my father was a lawyer, and I helped him with the paperwork. Probably the thing I remember most about my father's job as a lawyer was how hard it was because you had to talk to people all the time, figure out how to exonerate them, and so on, he worked every day from morning till night. Now I live in Ottawa and I see how hard Ottawa Criminal Lawyers work. But my first official job was a little bit later, I was setting up ads on social media, advertising people's various businesses. It was a cool experience, but what I remembered most was how I found my clients and how I provided my services.
The early morning daily scrum meetings (modified for the sales team). Being accountable first thing in the morning definitely took some getting used to. But fortunately, I had a great boss and great colleagues that knew how to set the right tone for the rest of the day!
When I was a teenager, I was a hostess at a sushi restaurant.
Aside from splurging my tip money on takeout, I remember HOW hard it was to manage expectations with hangry folks.
