I think a key issue with Product hunt is that there is only one leadboard. It would be interesting to have a split per category. Or at least have AI products separate, as they dominate the top 5 lately.

After spending a few months, here are my impressions: 👉 whole teams upvoting posts by single person just to boost points. 👉 bot spamming meaningless discussions. 👉 people asking insanely vague questions which they have read on twitter. 👉 not enough presence of tech oriented people. It's mostly marketers and business folks. 🤷‍♀️

That it takes so much time to gain popularity. But that's an issue shared with probably all even remotely similar platforms.
