The quantity of AI "wrappers" on SaaS market is quite disturbing
No micro SaaS is gonna win this race, especially, competing with big multifunctional platforms.
My thinking is that they should join forces by gathering the pools:
Mutual integrations
Cross marketing
Coordinate roadmaps and product releases
Thoughts?

Well, first of all, cross-marketing is not a new thing.
Second, cross sales. With my SaaS I connected with others and we ran promo sales through each other audiences. Let's say, I have 5k users, and they have 4k users. We run email referral sales through audiences and share profit.
But what I'm talking about here is a bit bigger than that.
For example, you have sort of a platform, where can join other products in cohorts by niches, industries etc. You integrate in the pool at the platform and now you are a part of something bigger. You're getting users, integrations, partnerships, help, feedback, everything in one place.
So this sort of "platform-as-a-service" type of thing. The idea is that a bunch of solopreneurs are joining their products together into multifunctional service, getting more users, sharing profits.
I don't know, just an idea, not sure that people will go for that.
There was and still is a gold digging hype around these wrappers. Makers saw others make a quick fortune, and so everybody tried to replicate their success.
I think most of them won't become successful, because as you said, big platforms will cover a lot of their use cases. BUT it's still a valuable learning experience to tinker with your own AI wrapper.
And I'm 100% that there will be niche use cases that will still be highly profitable, because the big players will not have an interest in serving all these small scattered markets. A lot of times a great UX or DX is all you need for a successful wrapper!
@thisisanton Yeah, it's still the same advice as with other products but with wrappers I believe it holds true even more
Totally agree. This was feedback to many companies in a VC pitch that people aren't being honest about what they mean when they say they are an AI company.
I feel a new term for a start up needs to be thought about to establish the difference between wrappers and AI
Yeah I guess that's true and could work, would anyone actually join together though, that's the problem
