Points to consider when launching a lifetime deal?

Hey Product Hunt community, I know a few pointers about lifetime deals. But I'd like to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Have you ever done or will do a lifetime deal? Why and why not? If you have made a lifetime deal before, how did it go, and any lessons you learned from the same?

I have this same question as we consider launching on AppSumo. Would love some advice on this! Speaking of launches, we've gone live on PH today :)

Just make 2.0 and leave the lifetimers in 1.0 😬

@senthil99nathan You can later just make v2 and ask people that has lifetime purchase in v1 to pay up again 😅

We ran two LTDs last year. While they were semi-successful, the result wasn't entirely what we expected of the campaign. Would love to hear more about your experience.
