Now in the final hour of our launch - what did I learn?

It's been a great first experience launching on Product Hunt, and there are definitely some initial key takeaways that I wanted to share with you all! (Also a last-minute call for support https://www.producthunt.com/post... πŸ™) Product vs Feature We started off with launching a feature, which I would say is a more difficult way to introduce your product. If you are launching for the first time, my advice would be to launch the product and talk about the feature at the same time. A feature vs a whole product is a much harder sell as it is focused on doing one thing vs other launches which will be promoting multiple features at one time. Also, your hub will be for your feature rather than your product (but I think it can be changed later). If you have already launched your product people are already following and know your product so it's like "hey we made it even better" - the messaging is different which has a big impact. Team Involvement I know this has been said a lot but really have a core team who will be all over Product Hunt posting, commenting, and promoting during the launch. In particular, having your founders involved and active makes a big difference. People like to directly interact with founders and it also shows the importance of the launch. Make a list of who to message This golden piece of advice was given to me by @iilfat and it reallly helped when you are in outreach mode for 24hrs - really helps you stay on top of things as it can be quite hectic and you will also most definitely be fatigued as the hours go on! Feedback I started keeping track of feedback as it came in - when you get a lot of comments things can get lost and so just having somewhere to copy and paste things as they come in saves you time having to scroll through and find things later on! Useful website This can either be good or bad, but I found the website https://hunted.space a useful place to view how we were doing (but beware it can be really easy to get caught up looking at others on the day), especially in the first four hours! I'll probably write more about all the things we should have done or did well post-launch, but these are just my initial thoughts as our launch comes to an end! Lastly HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported the launch today - it really meant a lot and I'm so grateful!! ❀️
