Assuming there is design workflow then Start — The User. Middle — The User. End — The User. Everything else only secondary consideration.

Straight to the point (core value prop). Easy to use (self-explanatory). Pretty.

Be very clear about what problem you're solving. Then, strip out every feature you're dreaming of that doesn't directly help to solve that problem. What's left is what you should build.
