I have heard few influencers mention that their reach dropped recently and the reason could be not having Twitter blue. What are your thoughts ?

I'm not sure, because the top 500 companies, many of them ad buyers will not pay for it. But smaller brands will have to pay 1000 ye for it, is that really fair?
@matcha_anil But you are not only favored naturally because you are paying but also because of the blue tick itself. People will engage more, which shows the algorithm that you provide good content and will you push more.
While Twitter Blue offers additional features and revenue, it isn't strictly necessary for Twitter's growth, as the platform can continue expanding through user engagement and innovative content strategies.
@thefidelavedano Not for twitter growth but for personal branding, if one wants to gain followers on twitter and if the algorithm favors the blue tick then it can be an issue
I'm uncertain, if that is really the reason for their drop in engagement and reach.
Yet, I'll give Twitter Blue a fair chance for the next month and evaluate if it's really worth it.
What are your thoughts on that topic Anil?
Musk said the other day that "Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations." https://twitter.com/elonmusk/sta...
So, yeah.
In my opinion, getting Twitter Blue only for the verified badge isn't a good idea for establishing account authenticity and hence growth (specifically if the account doesn't have many followers), as everyone can get it by simply paying.
Elon made it sound as if it were, but I've lost faith in the things he says on Twitter. I'm gonna sit on this one until I have more certainty about the value I'm getting out of it.
