It is, but only if you adjust your expectations. If you want users, then you must post at the communities your users hang out at. If they hang out at developer communities, post there. If you want a support network, communities like this are very useful.

It really depends. If there is a big overlap between your product's target audience, and the PH audience, then it can be if you do it right. If your product is geared towards real estate professionals, then it will probably be less impactful.
