Is it a good idea to publish a waitlist landing page before releasing the product?

Hi guys, I’ve been following Product Hunt for quite some time. I’m in the process of releasing a product but right now I’m still developing so I was wondering should I release a waitlist landing page or should I wait until I finish the product so that people can use it?
