@cryptosymposium We were literally talking about this today as a group!
We opted for fewer forums to avoid them from becoming echo chambers (and it's admittedly easier to moderate). With smaller, focused forums, we also run the risk of them becoming inactive. Still, we are absolutely looking for other ways people can get involved in a genuine way. You're also 100% welcome to start a discussion about "crypto, AI, deep tech, marketing, building apps or whatever," and then share a link to it across social media.
Some ways we're looking to address this could be by having the community itself do more self-moderation (similar to how Reddit has moderators) or encouraging posts in the p/general forum to be high quality, hopefully inspiring others to get involved as a result.
Definitely interested in other ways the community wants to engage outside of launches, and maybe we'll have the option to create your own forum in the future, but please keep this feedback coming!
@ben_griese thanks for the reply Ben ! Also, i think we just chatted via email lol ! Yeah, this needs to be carefully crafted. And as you want to avoid inactive or spammy stuff, testing it out first would be wise to do.
So, something maybe like a tag? when creating threads. Or a particular Title pattern. Like how Hacker News has Show HN: when you want to promote your product. Something similar to show that this is not a generic post, but a heavily knowledgeable one, where people should be careful what they contribute/reply.
Just an idea.
Keep it real !
