Hey guys, my name is Reed 👋 I had the idea for an instant invoicing and payments platform during college and dropped out to build Hopscotch full time. We’re on a mission to eliminate net terms on invoices and help small businesses get lightning fast cash flow. To date, we’ve raised $10M from leading venture capitalists and support thousands of small businesses.

What gave you the idea for Hopscotch and were your parents supportive of you dropping out?

@kyleivins The idea for Hopscotch stems from my personal experience managing vendor & client relationships in the apparel world and then again at another early stage startup. Long processing times, clunky experiences, and long net payment terms made it extremely difficult to effectively manage cash flow.
As a small business owner, there's no reason why you should have to wait OR pay to get access to money that you've already earned. Hopscotch fixes this and does so in an elegant way that's...dare I say...almost fun!
Both of my parents are entrepreneurs and I had always told them that it was unlikely I'd finish college. When time came to officially drop out, they were nothing but supportive & encouraging. I definitely got pretty lucky.
