Hey there, fellow makers and startup founders! I'm Tham, the creator of MindPal, an AI-powered second brain in which you can manage and interact with your knowledge sources, build AI agents for your tasks, and even publish the agent as chatbots.
This week, we launched a couple of chatbots built with MindPal that are specifically designed for various tasks, such as recommending research papers or validating startup ideas. Initially, we saw these chatbots as lead magnets to drive traffic to our website and allow users to try out MindPal conveniently. Plus, the chatbots are super easy to made on MindPal. It only took us around 5 mins to build and publish a chatbot. But let me tell you, the results have been absolutely mind-blowing!
In just 3 days, we have experienced a remarkable 5x increase in daily organic traffic to our website. As a result, we have seen a significant influx of new signups and a great boost in sales, WITHOUT spending any money on ads.
What's even more exciting is that other makers, entrepreneurs, and startups have taken notice of the potential of using AI chatbots as lead magnets, just like we have. We have received a considerable number of leads and sales from startups and entrepreneurs who are eager to integrate MindPal chatbots as lead magnets for their own websites too.

I think this strategy can be helpful to a lot of businesses in a lot of industries, so I want to take a moment to share with you our 3-step recipe so that you can test with your company too. All you need to have is an account on
http://mindpal.space and 15 MINUTES!
✅ Step 1 — Ideation (5 mins)
Start by identifying a theme for your chatbots that aligns with your business and target audience. For example, if you cater to knowledge professionals and startup founders like us, create chatbots that revolve around topics like startup idea validation, research paper recommendations, or business analysis. Remember, it's best to focus each chatbot on a single purpose to make it easier to build and quickly convey the idea. Pro Tip: Incorporate subtle promotions of your products within the chatbot conversations by having the agent refer to your business when appropriate.
✅ Step 2 — Build (5 mins)
Once you have your chatbot ideas, log in to your MindPal account, navigate to the Agents page, and create an Agent for each chatbot idea. Customize the instruction, output settings, and model settings according to the task at hand. You can even attach relevant data to train the agent. Once your agent is ready, head over to the "Chatbots" page and create a new chatbot using the Agent you just created. Provide a name, avatar, and an initial message to start the conversation. Hit "Publish" to make your chatbot live, and you'll receive a link to the chatbot, along with instructions on how to embed it on your website. Pro Tip: In the chatbot description, briefly mention your main product and include a clickable link to gently promote your offerings.
✅ Step 3 — Launch (5 mins)
With your chatbot ready, it's time to make some noise! Visit Product Hunt and launch your chatbot to a receptive audience.
That's it! What makes this strategy so appealing is that it's perfect for makers like us. As technical founders, traditional marketing may not be our strong suit, but building and launching exceptional products definitely is. I hope this sharing proves helpful to fellow makers and startup founders!
Happy building and launching!
