How to Gain Traction on Social Media Platforms

Gaining traction on social media can be quite challenging. While popular platforms like Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram remain effective for B2C (business-to-consumer) engagement, rapidly achieving significant traffic is almost impossible. Even consistently posting content rarely results in substantial attention. So, how should we operate on these platforms today?

By posting consistently and looking deep in to what that platform promotes.

If I would start from scratch, I — will add and ask to connect/follow me everyone I know — will write 3 days a week than get to 5 — will invest more time in comments than in writing posts — will generously follow interesting people to have cool FEED

I think each platform now has their own algorithm that you need to crack. A lot of testing and experimenting would help.

Attracting an audience on social media definitely takes persistence. I think the key is consistently posting truly unique, valuable content that stands out. Easier said than done though! Using trending hashtags strategically can help boost visibility. Engaging authentically with others in your niche also makes a big difference in my experience. But yeah, organic reach isn't what it used to be. Experimenting with some paid ads, even on a small budget, can jumpstart things. I'm curious what AI tools people are using these days to help with social media marketing?

I've seen people have success by partnering with a large creator in a space related/adjacent to what they are making. The closer the better, but having an established name to connect with your product is great way to approach distribution. I've even seen some people give large creators equity: definitely something to think about. You see so many creators come out with their own products that can outlive their likeness because of this strength.
