How do you relax your mind during rest time when work piles up?

I often feel like I can't rest in peace, because I always remember the work that has piled up😒

I can't relax when I have work piled up, I'd set timeline to achieve each task before relaxing.

Whenever my mind drifts to an urgent task, I immediately schedule a time in my head when I will solve it. This gives me the peace of mind that I need.

@alviani_nuragnia it depends. For me the most important thing is to get started and to get back a feeling of control. So for complex tasks I decide on the first most impactful action to get the ball rolling.

To relax my mind when work piles up, try deep breathing, taking short walks, disconnecting from work devices, or engaging in a hobby. Listening to music, stretching, or focusing on positive thoughts can also help my unwind and reduce stress.

For me, the best way to relax is to distract myself and avoid overthinking. I find listening to relaxing music or white noise and focusing on happy memories really helps me unwind and recharge.

Listening to music helps me. Also, I prioritize my tasks and divide it within my work hours to prevent myself from over burdening. :)

When work piles up, I try to compartmentalize my rest time. If an urgent task pops into my head, I quickly jot it down in my task app so I know I won't forget about it. Then I tell myself I've scheduled a time to handle it later, so for now I can relax. Meditation and exercise also help me disconnect and recharge. Curious what works for others!

Physical activity helps me relax: running, cycling, walking, and so on.
