I use a to-do list, where each task is highlighted with a different color according to its urgency (high, medium, or low) and marked with deadlines. I also use the Pomodoro Technique to help me stay focused on one task at a time, without being distracted by other things. In addition, productivity tools help me finish my work faster, preventing Monday overwhelm. For example, I use iBoysoft MagicMenu on my MacBook Pro to quickly access the documents and software I frequently need for a project, create new files, copy/transfer files, etc., with just a simple right-click. Without iBoysoft MagicMenu, I would have to first open an application to create a new file.
I tackle Monday overwhelm by listing top 3 priorities that move the needle, leaving minor stuff for later. Clear goals + focused action = productive start!

@oksana_ch like your approach! Btw, do you time-block for those top 3 priorities too?

To avoid Monday overwhelm, make a mind map of your tasks and prioritize them based on importance. This helps you stay organized and focused.

Great question! It’s always interesting to see how others prioritize their tasks :) I usually start by picking a few tasks from my to-do list. First, I choose a couple of the most urgent tasks. Then, I pick a few of the hardest ones. And just like that—no Monday overwhelm!

I usually use the Eisenhower Matrix (urgent vs. important) to categorize my tasks.

I deliberately don’t do them to avoid overwhelm.

I plan my days based around my goals - the tasks that are going to help me hit my goals the fastest! Then I colour block the tasks in my calendar so I stick to them.
