I'm convinced that one of the key point is to have a clear and concise product description. Your product description should be short and to the point, but it should also be informative and engaging. It should give potential users a good understanding of what your product does and why they should care. It's just one of many ideas to get the first good look / impression with our product. And what about yours?

@seekoyamatt Same! Another thing we had to get better with time is to create a level of trust. We aim at developers, so the less marketing the better to earn a level of trust. So instead of bombarding them with messages we went by creating sort of passive content for them: blog posts and documentation where they can learn more about the project. Also a good, concise GitHub readme is very helpful for us.

Hi Geri, I am not a launcher (yet) but as a founder of an agency in design and development (web & apps) I have few tips that are important when introducing an offer to users : - Being straight to the point when it comes to your copywriting : people don't read, they scan - It's because they are scanning webpages or product overview that you have to write short sentences and impactful words! - Having a short video description OR a clear motion design of your product can be a killer. - One and not least, images of your product that show how to use your product OR to show important features Hope that it will help!

What's the entry point for your users? Is this website? I'd say carefully audit your entire customer journey - the product first impression might come a lot earlier than you'd think.

@weiruye Very good point! Our solution has two audiences: a technical circle for developers and indiehackers, and one for SaaS decision makers. Developers care more about technical details, so GitHub is the entry point for them, SaaS decision makers usually check out our website or LinkedIn page first. So the content are completely different for both audiences.
