Small companies can compete with big companies on launch day by focusing on their unique value proposition, leveraging social media and digital marketing, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
I don't think it will work because their name will only overshadow the launch of a product no one knows about and considering they don't even do any marketing on Product Hunt.
It's always easier for us to work with something known.
We are a team of two, just launched today. So far we are #5. What we did right is to engage with the community far ahead of time and make connection. Ask for help :)
@dominicyates ok! Got it
I launched my 1st product yesterday and I believe it was great because I didn't prepare so much. We got in 9th place during the day, no really big company on the list. So I would say monday is a good day to try
hey there,
launching against the titans may seem like sailing against the wind, but remember, the biggest ships don't always catch the strongest winds. here are a few thoughts from my side:
1. storytelling: narrate your journey, not just the product. people connect with stories, they root for the underdog, they celebrate the human spirit. weave your narrative and let it resonate with your audience.
2. community: engage with your community early, often, and genuinely. make them a part of your journey, listen to their ideas, address their concerns.
3. niche down: find your edge, that one thing you do differently. big companies cast a wide net, you focus on a specific group.
4. be agile: use your size to your advantage. iterate, adapt, evolve. speed is your ally.
5. personalize: can the big dogs write a personal note to every user? probably not. you can. make every interaction count.
lastly, remember, it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. the game isn't won on launch day, it's just the starting line.
best of luck, mate! launch like you're catching the biggest wave of your life.
catch the wave,
karim
