For game developers: to launch yourself or partner with publisher?
Hi guys,
We don't see a lot of indie game developers on Product Hunt.
For those of you here who work on games, glad to connect.
We are launching our mobile game by the end of Q1 next year. We do see that there are 2 options:
- Launch ourselves on Apple & Google Stores: we'll have full flexibility in making decision for our own game, but will face challenges in marketing.
- To partner up with a game publisher, which can be a shortcut to reach to millions of players in a shorter time, although it'll come with a string attached.
Appreciate to hear advice/recommendations from you all.

It is better to partner with publisher. Publishers will be able to assist you in marketing and finance aiming to make your game money or get awareness, advise your team on the design of your game, from art, to concept, etc.
