Cold mailing can still be effective for niche targeting, but the results have been mixed for me, often requiring a lot of personalization and follow-up to see significant conversion rates.
In my experience it depends a lot on the market. In an under-served market this can still work because those customers are not yet inundated with cold-email. Though this was pre-GPT.
I would be very curious to hear if cold email is completely dead now that even personalized email can be sent at scale.
