I think so because every time I see a product in the top 10 they have a video of some sort (then again maybe that's just because most PH launches have videos nowadays so maybe there's no connection)
I would guess both work as long as they are short and to the point. The animated video usually grabs more attention but a Loom video can feel more personal and real—it just depends on your vibe I suppose.
Both is my answer. And the purpose is also important. But as a user I would definitely enjoy watching a walking through of a product more than an animation. First it shows who is behind the product, second you see that it ACTUALLY does what it promises to do ))
Loom videos tend to work really well for product demos and showing key features, while animated explainer videos can be great for telling your product story in an engaging way. Probably can't go wrong with either but I'd lean towards Loom if you want to show the product in action and animations if you want more of a marketing/branding focus. Just make sure it looks polished and professional either way!
a) What suits you better in terms of the finished product quality? b) If both ends are equally good and you are confident, take opinions and keep faith in your gut feelings.
I prefer screen recordings or any type of video that shows real footage rather than an animation with AI voiceover. I love seeing real people doing real things.
