X is great if you have things to show. There is always a chance that your tweet/post can go viral. Posted about our product and it gained tractions, from there several things happened. My co-founder comments a lot on twitter and it brings some results. It takes time to get good traction there, so be patient and try to comments as much as you can to get some visibility.

I use X for newsletters and tagging other companies whose products we utilize in development. We create open-source products for developers, and by tagging other companies that might be interested in checking out it, sometimes I have good results.
