@mahsimadastan Can't say for sure, turning Youtube on to be something akin to background white noise is not that conscious and deliberate action. Not to the level of keeping track of
@istiakahmad you spot on, my friend. I consider that this is related to the working mechanism of our brain. Normally, you can't pay equal attention to various activities at the same time. In order to get the maximum result from the work I do, I need to direct my whole attention to it. Therefore, I prefer to do my work in quiet environments.
@mahsimadastan I love rock and many other genres, but when I work I listen to modern classics. Because there are no words and you can concentrate well on your work.
It depends, if I need to do some creative work then I will not listen anything. However, if I need to do some dirty works. I sure will listening to some musics
Depends on what I am working on, when doing coding work which I just need to type down I really enjoy listening to Lofi Hip-hop and other music. When I face a problem I need to focus and concentrate I pause my music as it gets distracting.
Sure do for most tasks, unless it is talking to customers. :-) Deep House, or something else non intrusive. Sometimes one song in a loop, time really flies then!
@istiakahmad Changes week by week, Atzepeng by Paul Kalkbrenner is an old time classic for me. An entire go-to album would be Tumult by Meute for me as a brass band covering deep house tracks is just epic :-) Whats your go-to track?
Yes, I do. I find that music helps me to focus and be more productive. I especially like to listen to classical music or instrumental music while working, as it helps me to stay calm and focused.
Guilty as charged! š
The weird thing though is that if I am writing something in the same language of a song that I am listening to, I have to stop the music cause I can't concentrate.
@istiakahmad I like Italian (my mother tongue), when I am in a chill mode, mostly checking and answering email. The rest of the time it is random music. From British rock to gangsta rap, French electro or American country. The algorithm hates me š
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
I find music helps me modulate my focus and energy tbh.
i.e. for mundane work I love to put on deep house or techno to entertain my brain and keep on track while it would otherwise be bored and send me to the kitchen to make another cup of tea... just five minutes after the previous one.
@istiakahmad hahha, poetic!
I'm a fan of Christian Loffler, Ross from Friends, Girls on the Internet, Four Tet, Leon Vynehall, Romare, Jamie xx ofc, Against All Logic, John Talabot... honestly anything from these likely won't disappoint
