The creator economy is booming. Now, I think it's essential to be in front of your target audience; you should be active on social media and openly discuss your product journey to build credibility with potential users. Do you actively post about your product on social media channels? If so, which platforms have you found to be the most effective?

Post every day on Instagram, X, Thread, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. We were testing where our client base hangs out and which social platforms grab their interest. It turns out LinkedIn is the top for us. We plan to experiment with different platforms and then pinpoint the best 2-3 to focus on. I personally feel that each social media platform serves a different purpose with a different audience. I do actively post about my product on social media channels, but the intent on each channel is different. Instagram has the shortest attention span today and has a younger audience base, so to stand out and build awareness, you need to talk less and show more. LinkedIn and Twitter are platforms where you can explain your product in depth over the long run. Here, you can connect with multiple founders and senior folks to understand the different product journeys each of us has been through, learn from everyone's failures and successes, and eventually scale 10x in the longer run. Reddit is a platform I haven't used a lot, but I feel that it's in the middle of both.

@rupal_saini I feel like the algorithms boosted profiles that posted consistently earlier, so repurposing content across platforms worked pretty well. Recently, the audience on each platform has been more defined; you will find a specific audience on Instagram and a specific type of audience on LinkedIn and Twitter. So, focusing on quality rather than the number of posts seems to work better. It also ensures consistent engagement across the platforms

Shall I consider PH a social media? 'Cause this is here where I'm focusing mostly)) It's nice to see how people from PH write me in LinkedIn, we'll also launch there. But Twitter... I suppose I'll have to drown there completely before I can see ROI of any kind. Reddit... maybe, maybe.

I think it goes by without any say. Everyone posts on social media channels about their products. Its just that, what all channels one posts on, cause not all social media channels will have your user base or target customers. For example, We at PyjamaHR, are regularly active on LinkedIn. Being a HR tech software, LinkedIn serves as the best platform to interact with recruiters, understand their pain points and give them solutions.

I do, quite often actually via LinkedIn. But, honestly, it's more about life as a founder with a sprinkle of Ariglad. Not pushing our product so much.

Depends on what industry or what service a product provides. TikTok/Twitter/ Reddit all works.

Very good question! Our CEO posts on LinkedIn about his learnings from launching his four products, including the latest one. His posts get some engagement but I'm not sure it's always from potential customers. Curious to hear if posting on other platforms brings more value!

Definitely! We post about 'Gleans' regularly on social media. LinkedIn and Twitter X have been the best for connection with out audience and building trust.

@rupal_saini I get it, Twitter can be tough for building engagement and audience. My advice is to be consistent with your posting, engage with others by commenting and retweeting and also use relevant hashtags to increase visibility. Hope this helps!

I'm recently created an X profile with the hopes of building a network of followers. Unfortunately, X has decided to suspend my account for no reason... So I'm thinking of prioritizing LinkedIn as the main platform for connecting with potential customers. And of course, using Product Hunt, Indie Hackers, and similar platform just to share news about deepengine.io before it goes live

I strongly agree with the "Build in public" philosophy, so yes, you should definitely do this. Additionally, if your product is B2B, LinkedIn works well, whereas for B2C, Twitter is more effective.
