I'd sidestep the premise. I think the biggest misconception I often have about unplugging is that there's anything I am *actually* missing out on.
I've gone stretches of years, months, etc, off ig, twitter/x, pods, etc. and its extremely rare that I come back and discover that I've missed something that truly impacts my life.
I think the key is finding balance and being intentional about how you unplug. For me, doing a full digital detox for a day or two every few weeks works wonders. I let key people know I'll be offline, wrap up anything urgent, then log out of socials, emails, messaging apps, etc. It's refreshing to be fully present without the constant dings and distractions. But I still stay looped in on the truly important stuff via a check-in once or twice a day. That way I get the benefits of unplugging without totally falling off the map. Plus planning some fun analog activities makes it something to look forward to vs feeling like a chore. Just my 2 cents!
