Dedicated Platform for Indie and Short Filmmakers

Hey PH! I wanted to get your thoughts on an idea I had... It seems Indie and Short Filmmakers sometimes struggle with the promotion and monetization of their projects. Do you guys think there's a need for a platform that's "creator-friendly" and allows them to easily monetize and promote their films? I know most just post to Youtube or Vimeo. But it seems like a specific platform might be beneficial? Open to your thoughts..
