AI Takeover: A Jobless Future or a Leap of Progress?

Picture yourself as the mayor of a futuristic city. A lot of companies in your town have started using AI, and human workers are getting laid off left and right. Unemployment is skyrocketing and more families are facing tough times. On the flip side, these companies are becoming way more productive. The overall economy of your city is even showing signs of growth, thanks to AI. You could pass laws to limit or ban the use of AI, risking a slowdown in productivity and potentially even shrinking the economy. So, as the mayor, what's your move? Do you put the brakes on AI to prevent more people from losing their jobs? Or do you let technology advance and find other ways to handle the social problems that come with it? How do you strike the right balance between fairness and efficiency, between individual employment rights and overall economic growth? Your call, mayor! What would you do in this situation?

If there's no jobs, there's no one to buy your AI powered stuff. Don't think anyone would allow that. On the other hand, I think AI as a whole can make us more productive and creative, therefore have more innovative initiatives, that could in turn generate more jobs. We just have to worry about education, health and basic human rights of people in some areas around the globe and people are great at creating opportunities for others. Also soloprenuership and side projects are getting more popular now and with the help of AI it only gets better!

There is a need to prioritize education, health, and basic human rights from a global perspective. 4. The rise of solopreneurship and side gigs enables individuals to benefit from AI assistance. I think that the underlying premise of this discussion is that humans are the creators of AI, and in that regard, we have the ability to sufficiently control and limit these points. Now, I would like to add two new topics to the discussion: Firstly, who should be responsible for control and limitations? Secondly, who should be involved in considering control and limitations? What are your thoughts on these points?
