Estimate your revenue, expenses, and how much money your startup needs to raise using our startup financial model template, available to download in Excel and Google Sheets.
Hello, PH Community! π My name is Caya (you may recognize me/Slidebean from our YouTube videos on startups).
Back in 2016, we published a Medium article and included a free copy of the financial model template we had been using for our budget. We sort of forgot about the article, but fast forward a few years, and it's been downloaded by over 50,000+ startups.
As runway became a new concern/priority for startups, we've been working on simplifying it, making it more intuitive, fixing a couple of bugs, and properly documenting its functionality with some video tutorials + a knowledge base. We've also added new features like a cash flow dashboard, a cap table, and an earnings-per-share estimation.
And we've, of course, kept it as a free resource!
Our goal here is to demystify spreadsheets and startup budgeting. I genuinely believe this is a crucial document/tool for founders: so many of the companies I connect with don't have enough oversight on their expenses and their runway, or can't easily estimate revenue for their next quarter. After ~10 years of overcoming budget crunches with our own company, the spreadsheet we use (which is still a version of this one) is a trusted advisor I review at least a couple of times per week.
I'm a simple man, I see Slidebean/Caya and I upvote. The quality of your content is world-class, and just gets better over time. Also recommend checking out their YouTube channel, which is educational + entertaining
